The Keeper
Release date: October 2025
A weary traveler checks into a secluded bed and breakfast, drawn in by its eerie charm and the strange figures that line the halls — life-sized, embalmed, and disturbingly lifelike. The innkeeper insists they’re part of his “collection,” a harmless hobby. But as night falls and the walls close in, the guest begins to realize that not everything or everyone is what they seem. By morning, the house will claim another addition to its grotesque display.

"It’s a very atmospheric and engaging short, with a strong sense of mood from the outset.
The haunting piano score works beautifully alongside the visuals, and the slow shift from warmth to unease is handled with real care. I especially liked the friendly welcome, the gentle pressure for Mr Schmidt to “freshen up,” and the priest’s greeting, which feels almost like a quiet form of last rites. These details deepen the sense of creeping dread without needing to spell everything out.
The film does exactly what it sets out to do, drawing the viewer in with comfort before gradually tightening the net. It’s an enjoyable and well-crafted piece of atmospheric horror, and I very much enjoyed watching it."
